Pandora Radio

H/T to ChristineX. She stumbled upon a pretty neat concept in Internet streaming music: Pandora Radio.

How it works: you type in the name of a song or artist you like, and it automagically compiles a streaming radio station just for you, consisting of artists and songs similar in style to that which you entered. I made up five "stations," although one of them (Olivier Messiaen) I may have to tweak as it spat out some very strange electronic something-or-other. (Okay, we knew Messiaen had a unique style, but I'm not quite sure those behind the program exactly caught his essence ...)

Give it a go. I think it's a neat idea.

Pandora doesn't work for IPs outside the States. :-(

But Last.Fm does the same thing ... AND I can use that one. *g*

Though currently I really like listening to Mixwit tapes. They are so much fun.
