I just received a phone call from a friend of mine. His father is dying; was removed from life support today, and has a morphine drip to ease the pain he must be feeling. He is ca. 78 years old; was in a car accident several months ago in which he suffered some serious injuries, including fractured ribs and a punctured lung.Please pray that he may have a peaceful passing.
Almighty God, we entrust all who are dear to us to your never-failing care and love for this life and the life to come, knowing that you are doing for them better things than we can desire or pray for. Help us, in the midst of things we cannot understand, to believe in the communion of saints, the resurrection of the dead, and the life everlasting. Amen.
